This is the former site of a small town that was completely destroyed by a bush fire in 1961 so only a few footings remain. The site of the WWII POW Camp is two kilometres north of the township and was used in the 40’s to supervise 1200 men, mostly Italians but also some Germans.
Marrinup Falls is lovely to visit and there are some nice walk trails. For more information on the area pick up a CALM brochure from the Dwellingup History and Visitor Information Centre or visit the Shire of Murray website.
