Augusta is a great little town, close to the wineries and beaches. The caravan park is on the waterfront and has great sites for tents and vans that are grassy and private. The Augusta tourist office is valuable for advice on which beaches are dog friendly and the town has great eating options. Whales are often seen around the area when they are migrating in August & September. A lovely place to holiday for all the family.
Flinders Bay Caravan Park is right on the beach (although you can’t see it from the campsites) so it is a very short walk down to get your feet wet. There are plenty of trees interspersed amongst the sites and, if you’re lucky, the blue wrens will join you for a cuppa and the rabbits will escort you to the toilets at night.
