Paws and Claus Christmas Pet Appeal – Dec 2018

Once again Better Pets and Gardens is proud to join with our customers to support the magnificent Pet Rescue Organisations around the state through our Paws and Claus Christmas Appeal.

Every year pet rescue groups struggle to care for hundreds of homeless and abandoned animals or those that would otherwise be facing euthanasia. Many receive little or no funding assistance and are totally managed and operated by volunteers.

Better Pets and Gardens stores have consistently supported pet rescue organisations from within its own community and with five stores across the state, this means that the benefits of the Better Pets Paws and Claus Christmas Appeal are far reaching.

“Every store is working with a local pet rescue group and we are aiming to collect as much food, bedding, treats and other urgently needed pet items as possible,” said Stuart Stonehouse, the Franchisor of Better Pets and Gardens.   “There’s something special about these rescued pets and they deserve a good Christmas just like the rest of us.”

Donations of pet food, bedding and treats are especially useful for these rescue groups but they are also in desperate need of old blankets and towels. Any gifts will be most appreciated.

If you are thinking of adding a pet to your home this Christmas then Better Pets and Gardens would like to encourage you to consider adopting a rescue pet instead. These animals long to be part of a loving family where they feel safe and secure and they become devoted to their new owners who give them a future that they might not otherwise have.
