Better Pets and Gardens' Feature Campsite
LANE POOLE RESERVE,
DWELLINGUP

Lane Poole Reserve is a massive area which includes several camping and recreation areas.  Being just over 100km from Perth and less than 10km from Dwellingup, it is perfect for relaxing weekends or a quick mid-week break.  Kids can ride their bikes, parents can relax and dogs can have heaps of fun with the family.  Some areas are suitable for 4WD's only but there are others that are suitable for caravans and campers.
There's no electricity but there are toilets, barbecues and picnic tables.  If you are brave, a few sites have very cold creeks for a bit of a dip.  Fresh water is available but it is always best to take your own.
Dwellingup has a fantastic tourist bureau which is well worth visiting and has maps of Lane Poole Reserve which will help.  Bikes and canoes can be hired near the Dwellingup.  Dwellingup is a lovely little town to spend a bit of time.
Dogs must be kept on leads within Lane Poole Reserve but they will still have heaps of fun.  Remember that like many areas of WA, fox baiting does occur so keep your eye on your dog at all times and don't allow him in to the scrub.
