Fonty’s Pool is one of WA’s treasures having been used by family fun for decades. The pool was built by the Fontiana family and first opened in 1925. It’s fed from the brook and is like a fairy tale with the manicured green lawns and beautiful trees that surround it. There’s nothing quite like watching the kids float on the large tractor tyres in the pool whilst sitting under the huge shade trees.
Although the caravan park looked like it was going to close, it was salvaged a few years ago and has undergone a total make-over so that now it has everything that a family would need to enjoy itself. It is a truly relaxing place.
Manjimup itself is central to some of the most picturesque areas of the south-west including Pemberton and the Warren/Donnelly/Blackwood Rivers. Visit the truffle companies, wineries and truffle farms or just float around Fonty’s Pool.
